When I get an email with an image I can't print it. The page prints blank. I download the image and it displays on my screen, but I can't priint it!!!
What I end up doing is taking a snapshot, copying the image to Word and printing from there -- VERY lame, especially if the whole image doesn't fit on the screen.
What can I do to fix this??

After a 10 year+ hiatus, where I was forced off of PMail to Outlook 
, I have now returned to PMail. I just downloaded and installed PMail and attempted to setup one of my personal GMail accounts using IMAP. After a bit of trial and error, I was able to successfully attach to my GMail, and see my folder structure. I was also able to successfully send one test email. On my laptop computer, I have been using the GMail web interface, but really would like to get away from that and use the PMail client. I am successfully getting my GMail on my android phone and my iPad mini. I can see the GMail folders that are labelled [Imap] on the web interface and read the mail in them.
The problem comes when I click on the INBOX or any of the folders under the sub-folder "GMail" These folders do show message counts, some of which are close to or over 1,000. the INBOX is over 2,000. The one small folder under 100 messages opens just fine. Every time I click on one of these folders, PMail crashes.
I have searched the forums and found similar problems but no resolution that helps my problem. I have increased the timeout to 1200, but that only delays the crash. I did check the release, and I am on Version 4.72.572, Feb 19 2016, build ID 572. IE Renderer is V 2.4.9.9. I am using an older Dell Latitude running Windows XP. Below are a few screen shots. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

It seems that Pegasus is using a separate imap sessions for each folder operation. As on the server side the number of sessions is usually limited (as also gmail limits this) then there seem to be a problem when the number of allowed sessions is exceeded. In my installation the mailer sometimes produces an error but in some instances it crashes.
Is there a way to set the limit inside the pmail config so that pmail will not be hitting the server limit? Just for info that we are talking about the 4.7 version of pmail but the same issue was also in older 4.63 version.

If I log in using webmail, my box seems to be working properly with mail in it that I can read and forward.
The ISP is Daisy Communications who say that they can’t see anything wrong at their end. I also have another mail account with Plusnet which is working without any problem.
I haven’t made any changes to my mail settings in Pegasus in years.

This is for information only.
I noticed an odd thing today. One of our staff said that every time Pegasus Mail opened, the sorting on the new mail folder always reverted to sorting by the From column. If they clicked the Date/Time column to sort messages, closed and opened Pegasus Mail, the From sorting had been used again. I checked that Pegasus Mail was configured to save the desktop state between sessions (it was). When the account was opened, Pegasus displayed a notification that autosaved messages existed. The member of staff was simply clicking Continue.
When I saw this, I opened the saved messages dialog and deleted all the drafts and saved messages. I then applied the Date/Time sorting, closed Pegasus Mail and opened it again and Pegasus displayed the new mail folder with the desired sorting applied.
I sent an email with a picture attached. After that Pegasus locked up. I shut Pegasus down and now it won't open. In the past when this happened I went to the PMAIL Admin files and deleted a recent (large) file and that fixed this problem.
This time I inadvertently deleted several files and now it still will not open. I re-installed Pegasus with no better results. I'm very concerned that I could loose all my emails from 1996 to now as well as my saved distribution lists and draft emails that I use regularly.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm new to Pegasus and I'm just finding my way around. I must say it's a more complicated program than I thought! I managed to get my FastMail account set up as IMAP. And I was able to set preferences so that Pegasus empties the header and message cache after closing. (I like not having my email stored on my computer and with Fastmail's very fast response via IMAP, it's no hassle for me at all!)
But I noticed that any draft I compose is hidden away somewhere not so obvious until I summon it back from the darkness by using Ctrl + O. Well, I'd really like to have my drafts saved in my Fastmail draft folder instead of somewhere in Pegasus, but I can't seem to find a setting allowing me to choose the location for saved drafts. Is it possible to set Pegasus to save draft in the IMAP draft folder and not in Pegasus, so that any draft being worked on is purged from Pegasus (but not from FastMail) at closing?

Everything was working fine this morning - have it set to pull mail from 3 POP accounts every 5 minutes.
Got a notification that I have new mail while browsing the web - clicked on the Pegasus icon in the task bar (windows 10) and it would not open and display. Closed it by right clicking - then tried to start it again - get the welcome screen - see test scrolling at the bottom - restoring desk top - then nothing. Tried rebooting and system installed windows updates. Tried to run Pegasus again with no luck. Upgraded to latest version - still no luck. Copied entire pmail folder over to another drive - uninstalled pegasus - reinstalled and still won't work. Copied folder back over. It seems to be running in the background and checking for mail - just got a new mail notification. But will not display when I click on the icon. If I hover my mouse over the icon I can see a minimized version of it so it appears to be running - I then click on it and nothing happens - hover again and for the next minute or so it appears to be a grey box, then after a minute it once again shows a minimized pegasus screen.
I do think my deleted messages folder was quite large, but do not know which folder that is to try deleting it.
Has been working fine on this PC for a year since I bought it and copied pegasus from my previous machine.
Hello to everybody as it is my first post.
I`m Pegasus Mail user for 15 years and wont change it for anything else. But recently Microsoft has upgrade my system (Win 7) to 10 version without my knowledge (I didn`t close upgrade window and than has started automatically) and since than I have a problem with my favourite mail client described at subject. I was upgrading Pegasus to 4,72 version (previous was 4.6x) and nothing has changed - still every 5-10min I`ve seen warning about Pegasus deactivity and program is closed.
Could anybody help me with such issue?

Being a long time Pmail user, I have many, many mail folders. At times I have tried to reorganize them to make them easier to find and less confusing. However, the tools I have used are clunky at best. Most aggravating is that I can not move more than one folder at a time.
IS THERE AN EFFICIENT WAY TO REORGANIZE A FOLDER STRUCTURE WITHIN PEGASUS MAIL?

Tried to forward an email but every time I try I get the Windows box stating that Pegasus has stopped working. Running wndows 7 and latest version of Pegasus. Any ideas?
For past few months pmail (4.71.565) has failed to display newsletters from international and national sporting bodies (to name but a few) . In the past right clicking and choosing show pictures (HTML only) has worked but this option is no longer available.
I sometimes see a link to open in web browser but this always fails and nothing appears to happen.

I am using Pegasus 4.72 on a USB stick (so I can use it with -roam option both in windows and Linux with Wine).
I've just had the following issue. I was working a mail folder, contained inside a filing tray, where I usually save work e-mails, with Wine. Pegasus suddenly crashed. After reopening Pegasus, the folder seemed empty.
When I looked at the MAIL folder, the PMM and PMI files where now empty too... (formerly, they contain more than 80 MB of e-mails).
My backup is from a few days ago... Is there any way that I can recover the files (or at least the last e-mails?). I tried re-indexing the folder but it didn't worked.

Well I have been using PMAIL for a very long time with little problems (very small amount). Just downloaded the latest version 4.72 and installed it in the same folder as my previous, v4.70. NOW PMail will not open because the identity is not valid, not found on this computer. Have used the same settings since about 2012 with no problems. Plus all of my email does not show nor any mail folder or boxes will not show.
Any ideas? Have checked the folder and all of my folders and mailboxes are there, been such a long time since having any problem cannot think straight to troubleshoot this.

I am a long-term Pegasus user, it's a great programme, thankyou. I am currently running v4.41 on Windows XP. most of the time it all works fine but there is a problem that crops up occasionally that I really can't understand and I thought I would ask if anyone else has seen this.
sometimes (and it's not very often), when I click the 'Send' button on a message I get the following error:
SMTP Send Mail error
You do not have an active SMTP definition for sending mail via the internet ... [more error message follows, this is the usual error message when you don't have an SMTP definition set up]
however, it is not the case that I have no SMTP definition. if I write a new message it can be sent okay, this problem appears only to apply to replies to messages and forwarded messages (edited or bounced).
even more wierdly, this problem only comes up for messages in one message folder. if I move a message to another folder, I can send a reply to it ok. I have tried checking the folder's consistency - the programme says it is fine - and reindexing it, to no avail.
also, I have a number of users set up and if the problem is there for one user, it's not necessarily there for another.
shutting and opening Pegasus doesn't seem to be a fix, nor is rebooting.
I haven't managed to identify anything useful, this really does seem random. I thought I'd write today as it's been a quite persistent fault today - I can go a week or two without seeing it.

I just updated to v4.72.
After I click send for new email the number of queued messages does not show on the status bar.
When I "Review Queued mail" the messages show in the Queue Manager. However when I click on the Open button the message viewer now opens instead of the message editor. The editor is desirable in case I need to make changes such as changing the mail identity, add CC or change to BCC etc.
Can we have an option to open the viewer or editor from the Queue Manager?
I wanted to go back to v4.71 but the previous version on the site is v4.70. I guess I'll have to find the install file for 470 in my archives or restore 4.71 from a disk backup.
